Each session lasts about 1 hour. We complete a full postural alignment evaluation at each visit. We often start with Muscle Energy techniques to correct any pelvic and spinal alignment issues. We then start to work with the fascial system by testing the mobility of a particular area, applying gentle pressure and stretch, then waiting. The time element is the key and what separates this type of Myofascial Release from other versions. Research shows that it takes at least 2 minutes for fascia to start to stretch, often taking up to10 minutes, or even longer, for a full release to occur.

After a session you might feel very loose and relaxed, or potentially somewhat sore (like a post-exercise soreness). Healing is never a linear process. Multiple sessions are required to achieve optimal results and the road can potentially be bumpy. As the graphic shows, there will be times when we feel nothing is happening, or our symptoms temporarily worsen, but the trajectory is always up.
